Snow is on its way this weekend

Whether it's your dream or nightmare scenario, it looks like there will be no escaping the snowfall this weekend.

The Met Office have issued an England-wide level three Cold Weather Alert over the next few days and, although we look set to miss the worst of the conditions, Uttoxeter is in for a snowy weekend.

Temperatures will continue to fall, possibly to as low as -9 overnight tonight. The likelihood is that snow will then fall throughout Saturday afternoon, evening and into Sunday - up to 10cm is predicted in places.

Temperatures throughout the weekend are expected to stay below freezing, although the worst of the snow is forecast for eastern areas.
