As the new year approaches, East Staffordshire Borough Council is ready to run the rule over proposals which may have a major bearing on the development of Uttoxeter.

The council will make a decision in the new year
Matthew Montague Architects, a Derby-based firm, wants to transform two plots of derelict land off the Dove Way bypass, creating homes, industrial units and office space.
The application reads: "The development of these sites will form a natural extension to the town and provide much needed employment and housing land to the benefit and the rejuvenation of Uttoxeter, it's rural hinterland and the sub-region as a whole."
The ESBC will scrutinise the plans for the 180,000sq ft sites in the coming weeks.
