Uttoxeter train station is now a far more colourful place, but what do you make of the newly-unveiled mural?
Artist Anthony Hammond created the work, which features images from the town's culture and history.
The artwork was developed with the North Staffordshire Community Rail Partnership, based on designs suggested by residents.
It was sponsored by a number of businesses from the town, and East Midlands Trains, which operates along the Crewe to Derby line, prepared the site.
